Passed the national pharmacist exam
Over 30 years of multifaceted experience in R&D, operations, management, and human resource development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in various Japanese and international organizations (academia, business companies, investment companies, and local governments)
The operational rationale of TM Partners:
I would like to reflect on what I value in my work. As a student, I was trained in the fundamentals of research by a professor who was passionate about education. In my third year of the doctoral program, I was exposed to drug discovery research as an intern at a U.S. research institute of a global pharmaceutical company. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, I spent 11 years as a member of the U.S. National Cancer Institute, where I experienced the excitement and rigors of research and development in an intensely competitive environment. During this time, I experienced drug discovery in academia, successfully out-licensed two biopharmaceutical candidates of which I was involved in the research and development, and learned American-style management and human resource development.
I then joined a Japanese pharmaceutical company, where I gained valuable business experience not only as a research leader in antibody drugs, but also in launching new businesses in the U.S., exploring and evaluating new external technologies and pipelines, and in business development. After that, I had the opportunity to move to an investment company that made hands-on investments in listed Japanese biotech companies, where I came to various realizations. I founded TM Partners LLC with the desire to assist in the research and development of academia drug discovery and venture companies in Japan, as well as in the management and human resource development of the new era.
My creed is to “save as many patients as possible as soon as possible” when accepting professional challenges. From an objective standpoint, I consider whether the client's research and development is truly being conducted in the most optimal manner, whether the organization is being managed appropriately. TM Partners is committed to helping realize an affluent society with wellbeing by providing “multifunctional support for businesses in the healthcare field.”
